I bought one at a yard sale recently, and it was only used once. Works great(and looks new), from what I can tell. It was so cheap, I couldn't pass it up......10 bucks. I was wondering if anybody uses one on a regular basis??

Hi,
My brother in law has one, I used it at the beach (dry sand) and at a park, found all kinds of coins and cans and trash. dig any strong signal and pass any scratchy
or broken signal. I have and used a QDII. Happy Hunting

I personally don't know, but maybe someone else will respond.

The Screen is a LOT different than the 2200...Looks like the Discovery models just kept making improvements to the user interface and adding more features as they went...These machines are in a league all their own in the bounty hunter lineup...I have always liked their looks, but the craftsmanship could have been a little more sturdy in my opinion...I have heard nothing but good reports about their operation though, and the finds seem to be plenty....
BTW...this line is the one I know the least about...Never swung one before...

Good response!. I have only "played" with this one in the yard, but I can tell you that it is so user-friendly, it would be ideal for beginners. The construction is a little "cheap", but I'd say if it is taken care of, it would probably last a good while...

the 2200 has a lot more bells and whistles for the 100 bucks in price difference. You can notch targets, etc. with the 2200. the 1100 is all metal all the time. both hate wet sand or heavily mineralized soil.
