Finds are starting to thin out at a site some friends and I have been working.

These finds represent my last three hunts there.

On one hunt I got 11 old coins, but not a single one was silver. Managed to find an 1892 barber dime, and a 1904 Hong Kong silver half dime. Also got an 1883, 1888, and two 1904 indians, along with an 1896 and 1907 V nickle, a buffalo, two silver war nickles, and a silver St Jude pendant. 20 wheaties, and a nice brown glazed Bennington clay marble that was in a hole with a nickle

Great finds Brian!

Nice finds Brian. You gonna make it over NV way next week ?

Thanks Tom and Gregg.

Gregg I had planned on going on the WTHO outing, even took that week off so I could do our Tonopah trip over Labor Day weekend and then meet up with everyone during the middle of the week to join the WTHO. Unfortunately my better half seems to have other plans for me, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to go on the WTHO outing or not, but it's not looking like it at the moment.

Where are you staying? I'd probably stay at West Wendover if I do get to go.

I'll be in Wendover again.

combine site location, patience and a great performing detector to have above average success.

I bet your hunting buddies wished to were wielding an old Jetco or Relco detector, or even a Garrett Ground-Hog, Compass Judge2 or White's Goldmaster 63 instead of that nifty Makro Racer 2.

I hope you can get your wife to understand the class-act group of participants who make the WTHO, and we even have 5 to 6 new attendees for this 4th Outing. Is it an easier drive for you to get to Wendover than Wells? Both are close to equal distance to 3 or 4 of the ghost town sites, but Wells is much closer to 3 others we are hunting. I got set up at Angle Lake RV Park, Space 19, here in Wells yesterday afternoon, and I'm going to check on site access conditions at several sites we hunted before so I can share that will attendees.

you ought to take an outing break even though you've been enjoying several successful local jaunts recently.
