race track accident

Today at the local horse race track in Vancouver was a terrible accident, my friend saw it up close. A horse stumbled coming out of the gate with the rider off. The horse had blinkers on but the blinkers were twisted and impeaching the vision.

It ran blindly into a guard rail and plummeting into the area of reporters, it broke it's back and died, also it hit one security guard who has the horsehoe mark on he's chest,not sure of his condition.

I was not there but twenty years ago seen the exact accident right in front of me, the racetrack cancelled the remaining races, apparently was a very gentle racehorse.. cwap happens. oj vancouver

Like I mentioned years ago seen one crash to it's death, hard to forget it, I do beleive the Calgary Stampede was quite a toll on horses this year as was mentioned before on a few threads, take care.My brother is a retired horse owner just dabbles in the sport now, my buddy claimed a horse it won a race and was claimed again...
