We don't EVER see snow like that in Charlotte. It's going to be in the teens for a couple days here this week, and that's damn cold for here. Just very little snow ever.

OK, because we're a friendly bunch of folks up here in the Great White North, I'm gonna share a secret with you. Here's how you make it through winter - you go ICE FISHING! Yup, you get yourself blaze orange insulated coveralls (you'll fit right in at the Packer game, too), a pair of LaCrosse Iceman insulated swampers, an empty 5-gallon bucket to sit on, a handful of tackle, a box of waxies, beef jerky, a cooler of fermented malt beverage (the cooler keeps 'em from freezing) and you go fishing. Just drill a hole in the ice and sit hunched over it with your jiggin' stick until you catch your limit or you can't feel your extremities, whichever comes first. Then you go home. It just doesn't get better than that.

That is so true but I like the ice shack with the heater in it

Gonna be cool, old bombers running circles on the lake. Yes, the lake is froze hard enough to drive on. I think they use the ice shantys for driving cones to set up the race course. Should be interesting.
