qxt vs mxt

I just found out that whites makes another metal detector called the qxt. Funny I had never heard of it before. Anyways how does it compare to the mxt depth wise and target response wise. I will never be nugget shooting so probably have no use for the prospecting mode on the mxt. The only thing I need a detector for is coin shooting around old homesteads and about 5% beach hunting. Do you think it would really be worth it to spend the extra money to get the mxt?
Thanks in advance to all who reply

The MXT has newer, faster ground tracking. The MXT is great for detecting small gold jewelry. I got a 18kt gold pendant with mine (minus the chain). It's smaller than a dime.
The QXT is an older design & was never very popular. The MXT came out 7/1/02 & they've sold tens of thousands of them with a 98%-99% satisfaction rate.
You might be able to get a discount from list on a new MXT. But there are lots of used ones, maybe 500 US dollars is typical. I see you're in Canada & not everyone in US will ship to Canada.
Also, there are lots of optional coils for the MXT ($150-250 US retail) but again lots of used ones available.
I use the MXT in relic mode. This permits assigning iron a low tone rather than rejecting it so there isn't much target masking. I often find coins next to iron & other junk. Slow short sweeps & approaching targets from different angles helps in the trash.
The stock 9.5" coil is too large for areas with heavy trash & I think the 6.75" x 10" double D coil is pretty good in most areas. For the most extreme trash, there are smaller coils. HH, George (MN)

George I started out with the QXT and was happy with it I found tons of coins and other stuff. Then I started reading the forums and liked what I was reading. I decided to buy a used MXT off the forums here. I could not have been more satisfied the MXT is my primary machine now. I use the QXT for friends who want to hunt with me. I think if any thing happens to the MXT I will definitely get another one. I like it so much because it is lightning fast when a target is located and pinpointing is fast and easy. I have several accessory coils the 6X9 " DD is my favorite. I have found coins by the handful and rings, necklaces and bracelets gold and silver. If you get an MXT I dont think you will be disappointed.
