QXT-Pro?

I have always wondered about this detector as it has a tone I.D. system and modulated audio which I like,But I have heard some say it is great and deep and some say it won't hit a coin with high tone past 4''? I know everyones ground is different,But it can't be that great of diference? Those who have it in moderate groud will it hit and I.D. a coin with the high tone past 6''? What else do you like or dislike as it seems to be black and white, love or hate with this detector. Have read old post .But would like some new insight. Thanks.

WOW! I thought at least Critter our Mike Hillis would give their point counter point. Critter loves it and Mike and Monte hate it! Oh Well.

I used a QXT Pro a few years ago and was happy with the results. I live in S.W. Washington and the ground here is tough. The QXT can be swung at a slower speed than XLT, and comparable 4 filter detectors, it also has a unique sounding target response, a very nice tone. I believe they are a overlooked detector that would please more people if they would give it a chance.

You want to open up a new can of worms, huh?

I liked the QXT-Pro.:)

How come you didn't keep it if you don't mind me asking? Also I heard the tone I.D. only works down to 4-5''? Did you find this to be true in your ground? Thanks.

I found other detectors that I liked better, so I sold it. I was getting a high tone at 6 or 7+ inches the best that I can remember.

It's a very deep detector and super easy to pinpoint with. The weight wasn't bad, but I prefer lighter detectors. I guess I should have given the 6 1/2 inch coil a try.

If I find a good deal on one I'll give it another tryout with the Bullseye coil.:detecting:

I have used mine for over 10 years and love the QXT pro. Just hit a 42 quarter close to seven inches down. It helps to run this machine wide open. If it had a +\- ID it would be awesome. I think that it is a great coin finding machine.

Did the quarter give a nice soft modulated high tone at 7''? And do you think it would of hit it deeper with a high tone? Thanks.

I trted one when they first came out, don't remember much about it as its been a while but just not my cup of tea. Its certainly a love it or hate it unit. Might try looking on google for a nice report from a fellow that goes by critterhunter. Certainly one of Whites units that did not take off and was discontinued..
