May not be the greatest of the beach....If your talking salt water, it will false a lot unless properly ground balanced and the SENS kept low...
It should do alright on fresh water beaches with normal settings...just turn the SENS down a bit...main about 14, PP about 14 also...If it falses a lot, drop the Search SENS down a notch at a time until it stops...The 950 coil is waterproof..I have had it in the water at Oneida Shores and Sylvan beach. Just keep the box and display pod dry...
