Quit yer complaining about Tesoro's prices already!

Don't get me wrong. I like getting a deal just as much as the next guy, but at what cost. People complain about this or that being to expensive, then in the next day after they purchase some kind of junk apparatus because it is cheap and it breaks down they are all kinds of upset. Even though it is their own fault for buying the crap in the first place. I buy Tesoro because they get the job done and do it well. I think we need to realize they are a business and not a charity, nothing against charities, but My point is Tesoro has people working for them and bills that have to be paid. If they put a price on a detector I feel it is worth more than the price paid for the hours of enjoyment I will have, plus it will last forever and has a lifetime warranty. I am saving to buy another Tesoro, but will always keep my Compadre. I think Tesoros resale value speaks for itself as well, not that I will be parting with my Compadre anytime soon. Yes Tesoro could probably sell for less, but are you willing to short change quality or features, or maybe get a two year warranty or five year warranty to save 5 or ten bucks? Features and quality are not free. Let's not praise Tesoro with one breath and in the next chide them. Keep up the great work Tesoro.

Didn't know anyone was complaining about Tesoro's prices. News to me.

It's a $350 machine with extra coils that I already have or don't need. At $350 I would have already ordered one. At $550 I will definitely take a pass. Absolutely nothing new here. Even the old gold rod sings of old technology. Tesoro's clearly not listening to the end user. I'm sure it's a good detector, as all Tesoro's are, but we were all looking for something new, not just a detector with one more switch.

When news of the OUTLAW broke, I could probly count the members that did not complain about it on one hand.
Which was a little suprising after listening to 'resurect the Bandido' for how long.

Don't think that was the case except that some people didn't like the idea of having to pay for the three coil package in order to get the detector.---You can't really blame them when they already had the coils (or similar coils).----Maybe that is what you were referring to?

Tesoro is great but they have made some mistakes.
They would probably sell many more Outlaws if they offered 0,1,2 or 3 coils with the package. How many Tesoro long timers (the ones who are busy defending Tesoro) already have one or more of those coils? This would also settle my suspicions of a surplus stock of old coils that they want to reduce by "force".
SOMEONE should have put out a demo video by now.
I'm not even sure that I see ANY ducks, much less that they might be in a row.
All I can say beyond that is if this detector doesn't turn out to be MORE than it's "presentation" reports, I don't think they'll hear the end of it.
Good luck Tesoro, I think you're going to need it now!

Well I do not have those 3 coils. I do not have the 3 bottom rods either. For me? It is a good deal. It will save me $$ over the unit I was gonna get. So I like it, Beale.

Maybe in the future you will see Tesoro offer it stand alone with one coil and a second package with the three coils and rods. Seems like there are people out there that would like to have it offered both ways.

deleted my post--aimed at you DB. Might want to learn to read.

And who is DB??--Don't see anyone on here with that handle.---If it was aimed at me, your aim is off!----All I was saying is that I don't think anyone was complaining (minded) the price of the Outlaw detector (by itself & with a stock coil) but they SURE minded having to buy it with the extra coils (feeling like they were being forced into buying the extra coils to get the detector)--and I don't blame 'em.-------BTW, cussin ain't allowed on the Forums.------My apologies if you weren't "aiming" at me!---------Del
