Quickie farm house hunt nets NICE 1881 Injun

Got off work today and hit up a farm built in 1900, ground was still rock hard frozen in some areas and diggable in other areas, very, very little targets, so wasn't there long.....got some wheats, including a steel wheat in hole with another copper. And I got a real nice 1881 injun with super details. It had a real funky green patina that was blotchy, looked just ugly, so I figured this injun was gonna get the peroxide treatment, I did so, and it gave it a nice dark chocolate brown color, much more appealing that in was, turned out pretty good. Was nice to get out a little bit before we get all the freezing rain and snow they are calling for...yuck!

Very nice details on that indian
I have only found one indian. It was in awful condition.
The soil down here in Southern Mississippi near the gulf is super rough on coppers.

Your indian head cent turned out real nice. Great finds!

Very nice. That one looks to be in great condition. Do you have a pic before you treated it?
no sorry, normally I take dirty pics before I clean stuff and today I was in a hurry

Sweet looking IH!

Pretty little Indian there Terry, and to find a steelie in such good shape is amazing they are generally so toasty to be unrecognizable!
