Ok, It is 2 degrees outside and I want to get out and dig something up. Does anyone know a good recipe for thermite or something else to thaw the ground plus make it warmer? :help:

-18 last night and -22 below the night before, the high was -6 yesterday. Please give me at least 0. Thank you "oh" weather God.

SPRING!

More variability. That is scientist speak for hotter, colder and stormier.

Sure been that way up here although the past few days have been about 50-53f but we had weeks of 0f as a start to winter. The coldest start of winter and longest cold snap since 1924! The roads here are a mess as our city policy is not to clear side streets as it usually melts within a week - not this year 4 weeks of snow and cold without a melt.

Napalm..:detecting:

Ok a hammer and chisel will do fine. Or a torch of some sort maybe?

Smelly and slow but it would thaw the ground in a few days. Now they use propane flames under the 1/2 barrel, less smell same effect.

I think that the cost would be the down side of doing that for a may be coin.

Maybe you could make up something out of a solar oven??
