Quick visit to Rye Patch coming in April

hansenrw

New member
I will be making a trip to California about mid April and am thinking of stopping at Rye patch on the way. I will probably only have time for an afternoon/evening hunt and then a few hours the next morning before needing to leave.

I have read all I can find on the forums and have no wild expectations about my chances there on a short visit. But I am hoping someone might steer me to a spot where I can hunt without wondering if I am jumpimg someones claim and maybe have a reasonable chance to find something. I have been looking over maps and have a fairly good idea of the layout but I don't have specific info on just where you can and can't (or shouldn't) be hunting.

Any little hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Robert
