Quick trip to the park

The days are getting shorter and by the time I get ome from work I get about an hour max of hunting in before the light fades. Spent about half an hour at my nearest park last night and picked up 6-coins for a grand total of NOK 51.50 .......... that equals about 8.90 in US dollars. No coins older than 1999. You have to remember that the two most common coins are the 10kr and the 20kr ..... which are worth 1.75 and 3.50 respectively in USD.

Forgot to mention I am using the 305. First detector and thought I would just start with that to see how I liked it. Thanks to all the good info available on the internet I am not digging too much trash and apart from the odd ring-pull or bottle cap I am avoiding digging too many coin sized junk objects.

After a handful of trips I have collected around 50 USD in local clad coins but have not found any gold or silver yet. Also strange that all the coins I have found have been relatively new coins ........ must be some old ones out there somewhere - here in Norway I see on the local forums people finding coins from both the Viking times and 1500-1600's when the arab traders visitied the area.
