Do any of y'all use a Quick Silver, and if so why ? I have one that I bought for my son but when I bought my yellow fellow I gave him my QD2. He used it once and I tried it twice. not sure what I'm going to do with it,but sure is a pretty blue.

I had one for a few weeks... bought it to find property stakes, and after that, located a few coins in the yard... then sold it for a little more than I paid for it. Are you having trouble with it?

I had a friend of mine give me one when she was leaving the RV park. Said it belonged to her late husband #5. I have used it some and am going to the Texas coast this weekend. I am going to see if it does as good as my bounty hunter 202

Not really having trouble with it , I guess I'm just spoiled with the Qd2 and the 250. I will try it at a tot lot and see what happens,I remember one member who did quite well with his.

I have had the Quick Silver for a month now and I have found all kinds of things some good and some junk. Overall, it is ok but could be better. It will high beep at coins, pop tops, round foil, and anything round. The depth has three bars. When power on the depth is two bars. You can go from one to three bars and get a rough guess how deep the target is or raise the coil off the ground. Most coins I find are 2 - 6 inches. Gold will beep low like nails and trash so you need to dig everything. However I don

do you have to wear the headphones?, they get in the way a liitle, would prefer to use without, am I missing a trick here? new to detecting

By using headphones you get to hear the weakest and most subtle of signals.
Also keeps outside noises out.
Another plus is it extends the battery life .

Mat as for headphone, I like them as the quick silver is loud and can be heard 20 feet away. On the quick silver, it beeps the same volume for each 3 tone it picks the target up or misses it there is not week signals with the quick silver. With other Metal Detectors headphone will pick up week signals. My headphone cord is long enough to stand with the Metal Detector setting on the ground so it does not get in my way when digging but sometimes I will put golf tees in the ground where I get a beep and wait until I get four or five then I dig them all at one time.
