Quick question

Ok so a quick question. I've been enjoying my 505 but after reading Diggers e-book I have been hunting in all metal mode. This is new way of hunting for me. My question is it normal to hear constant multiple iron tones with -9, -6, +48 tid readings at full depth arrows or do I need to back down my sensitivity? I'm running between 13-17 on the sensitivity and making sure its ground balanced. My ground balance is ranging between 9-22 depending on the area. Also I'm using the stock coil. Is the ground just that iron infested? Thank in advance for your help

It could be that infested. And if that infestation is old square nails it could be a good sign. It's also possible that you're going too fast. Try to go slow enough to isolate each hit.

If it's still an issue, try backing the GB -1 from where you balance it at. Try a different Noise Cancel Channel. And as a last resort, back the sensitivity down one click at a time until it's stable.

Yeah their is some areas like that to where their is a lot of iron hits. I run in to places like that all the time that have alot of nails and hot rocks.

I never run my sen below #17, most times it's at #20 and like longhair said, lower your GB a number or two ( - ) try that and see what happens.

Also with those types of GB numbers you might want to get a DD type coil. I use the 10.5 MF DD coil. it works better in ground with lower GB numbers and in those iron areas too.
