yes the Cz5 and cz3d are interchangeable.

Hey Big Tim , I am very knowledgeable on the Fisher CZ s. I used the CZ 5 as my main detector for Twenty plus years . If you have any questions just ask . I love talking detecting !!

I have just bought a cz5 again. I haven't used it in a good while but I do believe I will be taking it out for some fun very soon!!
