Quick question for you folks regarding changing settings on the v3......

We're all changing settings to try and set up our v3's to our liking and to our type of hunting etc. My question is, is there a way to get back immediately to a setting and change it again without going the normal route through the menus? Like on the dfx, if I remember right, if I changed the gain, or bottlecap reject, or anything else, you could hit a button and that parameter would appear immediately so you could change it again if you didn't like it.....I think it was the up or down arrow.....does the v3 have anything like that? Thanks.

I know you can arrow up on the live control you want and it will bring up the adjustments.

I went in the expert menu and put all live controls on the programs I use the most...so I don't have to go to the six block menu.....saves me allot of steps.
I know that last adjustment you make stays highlighted so you can go back to it quickly if need to if that's what you mean.

That does seems to be a good way around to me too

Yea, that hot key feature on the DFX is great. I guess it takes a few more key presses if you have to scroll to your setting on the Live Controls.

There is another way just like the DFX. You have to be in expert menu only....Go to configure and then go to menu....you will see size, expert only, wrap, and reenter at top. Make sure reenter at top is NOT checked. This will allow you to go back to the last setting you made as long as you didnt close the tabs when you were done.

Use the ARROW keys/buttons Left/Right to a setting you want to adjust.
Now up arrow to adjust that setting---hit trigger and hunt

READJUST??? Hit arrow up and adjust---hit trigger and hunt ;-)

Go to the adjustment you want to adjust - for example I will use receive gain. If your default gain setting is 7 (I forget what it goes out default), and you've adjusted it to 3. But now you want to adjust back to the default.

Live gain control: While you are holding enter, press the up arrow.
Menu: While you are holding down enter, press the right arrow

So, there are 3 positions that while holding down the enter and pressing the arrow keys will toggle, minimum, default and maximum.

If you are at the maximum value, enter+left (or down if in a live control) will set to default. Again will go to minimum. And vice versa.
