Quick Question for Coin and Relic Hunters

If Minelab was to build an Etrac type machine solely using the 2 Tone Ferous mode and made it a lot cheaper would you buy it? Or does all the other options make the price worth it?.
Me personally I happy with the machine but have entertained the thought of a ferous mode easy start up and go machine...

and I would only consider a machine like you describe if it were in the 5-6 hundred dollar range or if I hunted relics only. TTF is a great feature but not very exciting for hunting in public areas here in the USA that are loaded with tons of small ferrous trash, like bits of foil and shredded aluminum cans.

detectorfreak......you hit the (rusted) nail on the head I do it all the time with my Explorer II. Wide open disc pattern, ferrous tones only. Iron low tones , everything else high tones. But you must know where everything comes in on your screen. I use the pro coil on my machine. Excellent trash separation, annnnd have dug silver dimes at 10", silver quarters at 13", wheats anywhere's from 5 to 10"'s deep mixed in with multiple nails and rusted beer caps and can slaw...........NGE

Thanks guys for the input. Really to be honest the only thing I want to change is have the display turned more toward the user. Or something to cut the glare down...

Maybe....but I have never used a detector as FAST as the etrac. That is where the difference comes in.
