Quick questin

I'm thinking I'll get a quicker response here as I can't call Tesoro until Monday. Is the Vaquero one of the Tesoros that can be changed to the higher pitch? And if so, what does that compare to - the Silver Sabre umax and Bandito II or the DeLeon, Conquistador and Cortez?
Thanks,
BB

Yes the Vaquero can be changed to a higher pitch. The higher pitch sounds close to the pitch of the Bandido II

Bill,
The Higher Pitched Vaquero is well worth the extra cost.Targets sound a whole lot better with that setup.

I have one.
This is what it sounds like next to the Compadre.

Thanks guys. I recently picked up a clean Vaq and 7" Compadre for $400 shipped. So far I've found this Vaq to be very stable with the discrimination very clean and precise as it discs each range. I found a handful of clad in my trial run, but nothing old, nor very deep which is par for the area I was hunting. While I could live with the low tone, I definitely prefer the higher tones on my otherTesosos, especially the range the Silver Sabre umax and Bandito II use. I'll probably send it in when winter comes and have it changed.

BarberBill, you have way too many detectors. Three is more than plenty. :)

If you could only keep three of your detectors, which would you choose?

I need to thin my herd a little, but I can't seem to do it. I sell one and then buy two more.

"Is it possible that one could love another too much?
If so, I am guilty of such.
What would one do to love less?
I want to be able to love freely.
My heart is open very wide, wide enough for good and bad to puncture it.
I need a heart healing.
How could one put all into another, and receive only a portion of it in return?
Could one ask too much of another?
Am I stupid for being in love, or is love just a stupid thing?
Am I even loveable?
I don't feel whole.
I feel like something is missing.
Is love too much to ask for, or am I asking for too much?

The one thing I do know is I do love and can never have enough metal detectors."

Tabman, you're absolutely right. In fact, I was thinking about asking you the same question. I'd certainly keep at least one (or two) with manual ground balance, but how to decide between an Eldorado, Bandito II or the Vaquero? Actually, I'm thinking I'll probably let several go including one non Tesoro. On the other hand, anything worth having is worth having more than one, I've accumulated my machines used at decent prices over a period of a few years and I'm not supporting a boat, motor home etc. and the vehicles are paid for and the mortgage is nearly done, so where's the harm? However, some might say it's probably a bit obsessive. But, what do they know? LOL
