Quick post before going on errands, and a little detecting later.

How do you know your happy with your detector???

It's simple..When you get the right one you like, you stop reading the For Sale forum... I haven't more than glanced at it since getting this F75.

Before I combed through every post looking for the detector that was just right, Something was always not just right with what you bought..This time all is right..

Fisher F75 is a keeper... and once again I will stress the point..Most comfortable detector I have ever used.

I don't change detectors that often and I try to do a lot of research and wantching and listening before I plunk down hard-earned money for a machine. So far I am liking the F-75...light and powerful and batteries last forever, but it doesn't seem to lock on to targets like the X-Terra, right Elton?

Different from all other detectors I have used..Same but different..Principle is the same, the response is the difference. It recovers so fast you hear targets in the ground that you just do not hit with other detectors. It does always lock on the last target you go over..It may not be the good signal you had flash on your screen just before you nailed the pulltab next to it..But it will pick up the good target on the next swing ..You have to isolate a lot more targets to get the good mixed in with the bad... Is that about what you experience RonNH.......????

Fast or slow short sweeps will help fix the minute lock on problem..I find myself giving the coils a little wiggle sometimes with both coils..
