They should be fine.
Those headphones look very comfortable, but,.... they are only 8 ohms.
Sometime down the line you may want to upgrade the speakers.

I suspect once the electrics are under water, you will lose reception to the headset.

I have confirmed John's suspicions; when the control box (the detector) is totally submerged connection between the control box and the headphones will be lost in both fresh and salt waters. This is true for all the wireless headphones That I am aware of.

Years back when I saw that "style" of headphone I wasn't sure if I liked them or not.
I was so used to the style I had used for years, all the way back to the Calrad days.
This style,..........
Then when I saw Troy, Sun Ray, and other nice headphones in the other style I tried them, and liked them.
Very comfortable, shut out "a lot" of outside noise.
Now this style is my favorite for every day use.
The Garrett MS-2 is made in that style...........
Three things to note on the MS-2 headphones.........
They are 8 Ohms
They have a single volume adjustment
"They have a 10 foot cord"
Honestly, they remind me of the "early" Troy Shadow headphones.
I am willing to bet they are pretty good.
The dealer I buy things from has them for $29.00
Love the 10 ft cord, for me,.... better than the 6 ft cord seen so often.
