Quick hunt...

Last evening stopped for a burger enroute to detecting and ran into a local fellow that has been detecting for 3 years. Over coffee had a little BS session that cut into my hunting time..With only about an hour to hunt before it got dark I decided to basically ignore nickle and 70's copper hits and try for a silver coin..Hit several 80's to begin with that covered a lot of area and dug one just to prove to myself it was a can which it was. Also got a dime hit with poor audio that turned out to be a highly rusted washer which didn't surprise me as the audio stuttered which was a quick tip off to junk..Right before it got dark got a strange hit which bounced from 75 to 84 and alternated mid and high tone as I was hunting in 3 tones. At 9 inches dug a early 1900's Barber dime and Indian head penny in same hole. I did pick up my swing as I feel like an XLT the unit goes deeper with a faster swing. I was using Sen. 70, disc. 40, tones 3 and with the exception of a peep now and then had a solid quiet audio. I felt quite intent as this area has been pounded for years is a large area and was able to cover a lot of ground in a short time...but admit I was a bit winded as I am a slow swinger by nature and naturally was in a hurry due to time limitations..
