Quick hunt

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
Nancy and I got out for about an hour and found a few goodies. A silver thimble that cleaned up real nice and the hallmark on the inside dates it back to the 1880's. Also from the 1800's is an insulator and a 1897 IH. The odd find is a memorial cent that was once part of a bracelet or necklace, a 1959. Maybe someones birth year bracelet............ From the same time period, 1800's I'm guessing, is a large plain two piece button.

Wow! Look at the shine on that thimble. Very nice. Keep it going! HH!

Thanks Troy, I don't polish my silver coins but I couldn't help myself on a thimble. It was squashed, dirty and stained........ I thought it needed a makeover....

Nice finds Larry...where's Nancy's goodies?? sweet thimble

My finds? I did find an 1881 really REALLY crusty Indian Cent and a few pieces of clad. Nothing worthy of a picture since you can't see the date with a naked eye. Heck, it's hard to see it's an Indian.

That is sew nice.
