quick hunt with the 70

put in just a little over an hour and a half at a local ocean beach at low tide. I used the 70 versus the sov, which is what I mostly use wet sand hunting. Nabbed this 14k ring and the other ring is copper with a black enameled coating. The ring was down just into the hardpack, about 8" down, under several inches of black sand and the rest tan sand. I had the 70 in all metal, threshold at 3, sens at 15, tracking on and in beach mode. It read a solid 8 on the meter and was a softer sound but (using 4 tones) repeatable on every pass. When I initially found it I went out of auto track so I wouldnt loose it. I was scanning parallel to the shorline and with tracking on I occasionally hit gb just to see the numbers and they were ranging from the 70s to the 50s.
i am impressed with this machine in wet salt sand and it will hit the smaller gold in this stuff, its a very versatile machine the xterra.
forgot to mention i used the hi freq dd coil, the one that looks like the explorer coil.

Locked on 8..... Repeatable audio tones...... Taking it out of Auto Track after you initially hit on the target...... Sweeping parallel to the shoreline..... Somebody's been paying attention! :clapping: Looks to me like you have the X-70 figured out. Congrats! HH Randy
