Headed out after work to detect a hill with lots of snow still hanging around. I got one penny at about 11 inches. The rest of the coins were in the top 8 inches. I shortened the rod considerably to help remove some of the weight, especially when transversing up the hill.

You would go crazy in Fl. Loose sand everywhere. You would clean up for sure.
