You sure did a good job cleaning up those rings! Do you use an electrolysis machine, or have you setup your own circuit? I've found lots of "recipes" for such a system, but was wondering how easy ( and safe ) these were to set up ? Well done on the finds!

thanks all
RickIowa2009 quite a few  i don't keep count when i find one i chuck it in the pile & start thinking about the next one i"ll find .
koki yeah i use a home made electrolysis kit  get a 6v-9v phone charger cut the plug off & put a alligator clip on each wire get a glass bowl then mix 1 tablespoon of salt in with the bowl full of water then put one clip on the coin/ring & the other on a bit of iron then put it in the water if the iron bubbles swap the clips over so the coin/ring bubbles leave for 30 min or so then pull it out clean the black crud off & give it a clean with silver polish & there ya have it nice clean coins & rings .
as to how safe it is ???? i don't have a problem with it that's all i can say

Thanks for the electrolysis kit instructions.... I"ll hunt around the house for all the bits and see what I can create.... what do you use for "the bit of iron" ?

I have been using a bent up stainless steel spoon I dug while detecting a beach as the sacrificial side for my set up. Seems to work.

Thank tvr & lazaussie, I got my system up and running this afternoon..... results so far are excellent
