Quick hunt in the pine forest

Where is that forest?

Nice country side reminds me a little like our north country.
Like the accompanying music.
Must have been some military engagements jugging by some of the articles found.

Very nice finds for sure ... what is the green
item shown in the dirt???

Beautiful scenery as well...

Heres to many more hunts for you there

I'm jealous! I have some old growth forest on my property, and I have hunted it extensively, and only find old pieces of fence wire or the occasional modern fired bullet. Great finds you have there. Keep up the good work!!

Totally awesome dude!:super:Congrats on the great finds!:beers:Nice pics!:clapping:Thanks for sharing!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Same here.. Well, I'm not sure if mine is really "old growth", but it's got
some fairly old oaks and cedars on the place. I'm actually quite curious
if the place I have was ever cut down in the past.. Like say 50-100 years
ago..
But maybe not. But I don't find anything worth a hoot so far.. Just loads
and loads of slugs that the guy that owned the place before me shot
into the ground. He must have really liked .45 colt, cuz there are a zillion
of them in the ground, and that's walking over 5 acres. And if you dig
them up, most are fairly pristine and not mangled at all. Guess from the
fairly soft dirt. Kinda depressing really..
If I want to really detect something, I have to go somewhere else.
But even still, I'll swing it around a bit.. Never know.. I might stumble
into a lost knife or something. I found a pretty good one about 3 years
ago, but at a different place.
I like being in the forest/woods. Nice and peaceful up there, and I'm
secluded enough I can go for days and not see anyone around.
I'm on a back road that people normally don't go on much at all, as no
one lives on that stretch. And I've tried the road too.. Just tabs, bottle
caps, and the occasional slug so far.. :(

There are places in that area "Near Eufaula OK" that would be good
from a historical point of view, but they are mostly all private property.
IE: Belle Starr lived about 10 miles to the north of my place.
The Starr ranch on the Canadian River was not much farther.
Robbers Cave might be good, but being a park, it's probably off limits.
They had a lot of old west outlaw types that hung around that area
including Jessie and Frank James. They would hide out at the Starr
ranch. That would be a good place to hunt for relics I bet.
There used to be rumors of buried money at Belle Stars place, but I
think someone found it many years ago according to some stories.
She is buried there too.. I saw a listing of that property for sale about
4 years ago.. Belle Starr included.. :/
