Quick Hello

New member
Just wanted to introduce myself to the Garrett Forum, been metal detecting for a couple of years now, started with a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 101 that is now my kids to use, which they use it well. I have just purchased a GTP-1350 for myself and an Ace 250 for my wife. Look forward to learning from all of you and enjoy reading all of the posts. As you can tell I'm from Florida and also love my other hobby bow hunting.

Mike

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to seeing some of you and your wife's finds.

You are a bow hunter and still married, that's great.
I have a bow hunter friend in Orlando that wasn't so lucky.
It is good you got your wife into metal detecting or your marriage would have really been in jeopardy. Metal detecting is addictive. Especially after you find gold.
What part of Fl. do you live?

Nice part of Florida, Mike! My parents retired just east of there in Beverly Hills. Used to visit them fairly often, really liked the slower pace and its proximity to the "wild" coast of Florida. My Dad took me out fishing for grouper and bottom fish once and I had a great time. And where else can you see more manatees than in the Crystal River??

I think both of you will be very happy with your purchases, and will often find times when you want to switch units. If you have any questions about either machine, please ask. There are lots of users here with experience with both units. I tracked my finds for 2005, which were found exclusively with the GTP 1350. They are shown below:

Welcome Mike! Hey you said that you like to go Bow Hunting. Well I can tell you right now that if you walk in to Bass Pro you can find all the Bows you need! No need to go out hunting for one!!!

Welcome to the Green Club. Will look forward to your posts and pics. Good luck, you've picked two excellent machines. You'll love that 1350.
