Just bought a Quick draw ll seems to work ok sometimes, does anybody have and opinion, bought it to use on the beach, anybody know what would be the best settings, thanks in advanced.

I have a QD ll an the only thing I don't understand is ,, How did ever get along with out it,, I've used my in all kinds of conditions ,wet, dry, hot, and extreme cold.. an its performed good in all conditions when in rain I cover the control box with a plastic bag, How ever I have never hunted salt beach's but if you turn the sens. down I herd it will do ok there two

All so be very careful when using it, or you may be come addicted to this hobby like the rest of us :detecting:

I use my Sharp Shooter II (similar machine) at the Jersey Shore quite frequently. Great in dry sand but it gets very cranky near the water line or where saltwater has recently lapped on the beach face. Turning the discrimination up high (2 to 3 oclock position) helps significantly but you will probably miss some significant finds. So I tend to let the beeping blow my brains out.
Main thing is to dig that repeatable signal!
