Hit a spot close to where I found the Barber half last week.
Take: 1787 Ct copper
small silver ring
two flat buttons
military button (eagle standing on shield with word "excelsior" under shield - old West Point button??)
two wheaties
token - Quarter size. I havent had time to clean it yet but one side has a log cabin with a date of 1840 under it (more wording on both sides but I can't make it out yet - don't want to be hastey and ruin it)

I couldn't even imagine digging up something from the 1700's. That is old!!! I wonder if that Token isn't a Bank Token since I know some of them had dates on them. Let us know what it says on it when you get time and clean it. Congrats again on some great finds and Good Luck and HH to you on your next hunt.:detecting:

Yep Dirtflipper, you're right! It's a William Henry Harrison campaign token of 1840. Thanks much for the help !!
