queston about deep on

can running my gain pretty high instead of deep on give better proformance ? whats the pro's and cons of this type of set up .

From what I understand, GAIN will simply determine the amplitude of the audio of deep targets. The lower the GAIN, the fainter the sound of deeper targets.

DEEP is a filter that spends a few extra cycles massaging the signals to make them more accurate.

GAIN will not effect performance in terms of depth. DEEP won't either, but may give you a more accurate TID. DEEP will slow the response time of the machine...you probably won't notice it concerning audio, but might with the display.
