Has anyone previously used the AT PRO maybe months or a year or so ago, didn't like it (why), gave it up for whatever reasons. Then started using it again ( for whatever reasons), like it then stuck with it ( why).

....Not exactly...a friend of mine...bought one used about a year ago ....he only kept it for about a month before selling it.....he said that it was too noisey for his taste.....he prefers another brand over the Garrett's so Not his Forte......he is Not a Garrett Fan.....I have been hunting with Garrett's for over 43 years so I do not have this problem.....I really think that the AT Pro is a Winner...and although I do not care about some of their other models.....this one will make me start using my Garrett as my Primary detector again.....Joe

Not really...in the trash, I haven't found anything better than the AT Pro with the 5"x8" coil. I mean it.

Was never much of a Garrett fan before and could not stand the yellow colored toy looking ace series a I d hate the bell tone but the ATP is a winner in my book and will stay in my arsonal as my main go to unit even though I am a Tesoro man at heart

been using Tesoro detectors for years. Never thought any other detector would take me away from using my Tesoro's. Tried the AT Gold just for shits and giggles. I hardly pick up my Tesoro's anymore. I like the AT Gold the more i use it.

Bought my AT Pro about 1 1/2 years ago. (didn't like it why) Its not that I didn't like it, at the time I had two other high end detectors and just didn't use the AT Pro that much, when I did use it I didn't feel that confident using it. I felt like my other detectors would find more and go deeper. I would always take all three detectors with me and the AT Pro almost always stayed in the truck as I used my other two detectors. I got to thinking I might as well sell the AT Pro because I hardly ever used it. I figured before I sell it I'll just use it and see what it would do. To make a long story short, after using my AT Pro for about 6 months I sold my other two detectors and my only detector now is the AT Pro.

I really have come to like using the 4.5" sniper coil as it can sniff out the goodies amongst the trash. Still get good depth in my soil. I rarely use the stock coil but have it just in case I feel the urge...

I think the AT-s wear unstable at first, Is that the Question???? If so thy wear, Mickfin

After the sensitivy and cam locks issues was corrected, did anyone have any issues with depth? Some users ( like myself ) seemed to think this was a problem whenever they first came out). Did anyone noticed an improvement as for as depth over the latest productions of the At Pros over time or was it user error? I have heard various opions this subject. As for me, I used the At Pro some time ago and the features were awesome especially the iron audio. ( I have dug iron nails and coins in the same hole). But I could only get maybe 5'' on depth and eventually I gave it up. Lately, I have been reading less about depth issues. Now the At Pro seems to be the favorite over others detectors for some. Thanks for all your replies!

I just got my At/Pro this year and I'm glad they got any bugs out of them. I love the way it picks good targets out of trash and I couldn't do that with the GTI-2500. Some of the more experience diggers might. But, when there is a lot of trash, I grab the At/Pro. The 2500 goes deeper for me. I hid a jar of pennies in a half-pint canning jar and put it upside down about 14-16 inches down and the At/Pro doesn't pick up on it, but the 2500 nails it everytime. The At/Pro goes deeper in the water for me due to the conductivity of the wet sand.
