Questions for CZ3D owners

I am wondering does anyone have any emi issues with the cz3d. I currently have an omega 8000. Great detector but every once in a while i will go to a site and it will have severe emi issues. To the the point you cant hunt. I am looking for a second detector and really like the cz3d but wanted to make sure they were not too affected by emi. Also they seem pretty simple. Is there a big learning curve with the cz. Thanks for any advice.

Buy one and you won't be sorry. Really easy
to operate and not a big learning curve. Biggest
learning curve is setting machine for your
conditions, (ground balance,sens. ,discrim.)
I run 0 disc so I can hear it all. If to much trash,
run a small coil and a lower sens. This machine
will still punch deep with a low sens. setting.
Really , it's an easy machine to run. No programming
or a bunch of buttons to push. Turn on and pretty much
start hunting. Slower sweep speed moderate to heavy trash!!!!
Never had an EMI problem anywhere I have ever hunted with the CZ3D!!!
One GREAT machine...... Hope this helps!!! These are just my honest opinions.
This is one DEEP machine when run pretty hot with a little falseing. If you can
handle a little falseing in minimal trash areas, it will punch very deep!

I have a certain park I've been hunting and every now and then I get sporadic beeps and chirps from my CZ-3D. I think there is a radio antenna or cell phone tower nearby. It usually lasts for 1-2mins then calms down. But if I move away from the street there it goes away.

Not many emi issues on the cz. I usually run a zero disc. It does like iron/nails though and falses a bit enough to slow you down to circle the target. If it's a coin it will high tone all the way around the target. Great unit for low to mid trash areas. Very simple detector only because there's not alot of extra do-dads and such. Easy to learn just GB, set sens, volume, all metal or disc and your off. You may dig more holes verses using an e-trac but that can be rewarding. Not a slouch on depth either. I'll have mine till I or it wears out.

Does like iron, nails, wire and, tent pegs. It is a good detector but, you need to look over the targets with the different chirps. I am going to use mine at the beach. For the land i still cannot go past my Vaquero. set the discrimination and dig the beeb's. It gets great depth as well.

Thanks for all your advice. Im going to order one. Its hard to pick a new detector but good advice always helps. Thanks.

Biggest aspect is having a stable unit which is done by properly ground balancing(bobbing method) and running the sens between 4 and 5.

User friendly and would google Mikes CZ page as its a wealth of info for CZ users along with Fisher intelligence data....
