Questions about T2se and E Trac

Will the e Trac perform much better than the T2se when it comes to identifying coins at depth. I have found the T2se in 4 tones identifies coins like a dime as deep as 9 inches in moderately mineralized soil. Also is the target separation as good as the E Trac? Thanks in advance

Coinseeker,
I own both machines at the present time and I can give you my views on that comparison.I feel that the T2 is faster at processing info then the etrac.Etrac is better in iron infested sites, but not by much.As fars as depth identification I personally lean towards the T2.The only thing I like about the etrac over the T2 is the famous silver "warble"that you can get from tweaking the settings.Other than that I personally would take the T2,but thats just my take.Others may view that differently, but I have a good bit of time on both machines. My soil is slightly mineralized, and I have just found a half reale around 8" or so with the T2.If you like the T2,I would stick with it.I reach for mine much more than my etrac.HH

I've owned both the E-Trac and the F75 SE, which I believe is a lot like the T2. If I were hunting coins mostly in parks and schools(trashy) I'd go E-Trac. If I were hunting mostly relics I'd go T2. At least on the F75 SE the E-Trac had the more accurate target ID on deep targets.

I have, and am using, an Etrac, and have owned and used a T2. I even had the 12x15 coil for my T2.

My opinion both of them (COMPARED to eachother):

T2 is lightning quick response and I could cover a lot of ground quick. The ID, depth, and discrim were great. T2 is very light too.

Etrac is awesome in iron and garbage. 100X more customizable for areas compared to the T2's notch. The two 2-digit TID readouts are amazing.

....I love my Etrac since I figured it out. I actually passed a CTX by this year to go by 'what works!'

I always dig iffy signals, things on end.... bad soil... coins stuck togetehr can throw ANY detector a iffy signal...

BUT!.....

but when I hit the regular good (clad, old US coins, rings, etc) they are SPOT-ON to the effect that I'd bet you lunch that I am gonna dig what I am gonna say I am gonna dig....and when the signals are bad (tabs, caps, foil, canslaw, etc) they are SPOT-ON to the effect that I'd bet you lunch that it's junk...

Both detectors are amazing! but if you take a few months and learn the ETrac... you will go back to it for proven reliability....

jsut my opinion...
