questions about smaller coils

Hi all,I am sort of new to these boards and obviously a quattro owner:thumbup: I have been getting along fairly well with the stock DD that came with the unit. But have been finding myself increasingly searching trashy places like old parks school yards etc... I am thinking about getting a smaller coil to help pick through some of the trash. I am wondering if there was any one here with insight as to which coil is best as there seems to be 2 or 3 options. Would the 5" excellerator be the best choice or should I get the 8" minelab coil? also I have seen a 4x7 elliptical coil advertised any thoughts would be appreciated....:)
 
Hi, I have the Sunray X5 coil and it is good in trash. I've found old silver and bullets in moderately trashy areas that my other brands missed. You may also want to get a lower arm with your extra coil so coil changeovers would be pretty quick.
