Questions about ring hunting

So I'm not really a ring hunter but I thought it would be fun to give it a shot. Combined or 50 CO and why/why not? In 50 CO does a ring sound more stable than say a pull tab or can slaw? I know the best bet is to just dig all that good stuff. Any good jewelry programs out there? Wanna share'm?

Rings "usually" are more stable but not always. 2 of my wife's hit no machine stable. Gotta dig it all!

Rings are always tough. If park hunting you would pretty much have to dig everything along the 12 line......and then some. I get lots of rings in the water but the gold and silver rings I find when hunting turf are all accidental.

While I have a lot of time hunting the beach with the 3030 (99.9% since May 28th) I am just now staring to make the correlation of the digital interface the CTX 3030 has on light trash targets. I am not sure this can be used in the dirt. But the lighter the mass the more the tones will double up and wafle on you. Using my settings 12-16 is always a pull tab on the beach I am quite sure there are quite a few rings wanting to be found with the 12-16 TDI signature. With all the 12-16's I have dug and called pull tab before I have dug I am quite certian the 12-16 that sound different will be the ring. I am more than comfortable skipping 12-16's and have little fear of missing a ring. They just sound too strong to be light. My first gold and it was a ring was a white gold woman's band, wet sand 50 tones and a 12-30 TDI and I knew it was gold before I dug, June 2012. When you dig 200 plus target a day you just know when its different! I am so liking the ability to make discriminate patterns and being able to switch back and forth with a few clicks to check to see if you really want to dig. it may seem crazy but i can see hiting the beach and just digging goldmand quarters this year. There by less time diging coins!
