Questions about pinpointing with the prospecting mode.

I'm looking to sell off my 30 and Ace and replace them with the 70. I've only used the 70 a few times but was not able to figure out how to get to the prospecting mode easily to pinpoint with. Is it only a matter of pressing a single button, or do you need to fiddle around a bit to get there? What sort of information does it give that the standard pinpoint doesn't? Would detuning the standard pinpoint match the size information of pinpointing with the prospecting mode?
Thanks.
Mick Evans.

I used the prospect mode to pinpoint many times last summer but the steps elude me at this time. What I can say is it seemed easier and more accurate than coin mode PP with the 10.5" 7.5hz DD. I thought it was crisper!

Sorry for being so vague.

Quite simply press the mode button. It switches over. I have found the pipoint button to be bigtime useless. The prospecting mode allows me to actually count if there is several targets below my coil. Prospecting is a very good tool to see what is below.

Very handy to know.
With the standard pinpoint mode you can detune it by raising the coil a bit or hit the pinpoint button a couple more time while still over the target. You can also pinpoint off the 12 o'clock position for an accurate location.
