Questions About Cordless Headphones & E-Trac's

[E-Trac-Ohio]

I've read that a lot of E-Trac owner's are very happy with the reliability and sound quality of the "AUVIO" - 2.4 ghz cordless headphones.

Here are my questions ...

Must the headphones be 2.4 ghz to work with an E-Trac ?

Radio Shack is no longer selling the 2.4 ghz Auvio's - their getting hard to find - has anyone used any other types of cordless headphones that are made by other manufacturer's ?

I have not used these, but others say that the TDK WR700 headphones work well with the E-Trac and other detectors.

I use Radio Shack 33-283 Auvio wireless and they work great...

I had a pair of the Auvios, and they worked great with the E-Trac with no delay. My only comlaint is the the ear cups are kind of small, and they hurt my ears when wearing them for an hour or so.

I've been looking at putting the electronics of these into another set of headphones that are over the ears and not on the ears because of this same reason. I just got to find a set that fits perfect.

I have the auvio and they are nice,but I get a lot of static and crackling and popping. Anyone else have that problem with these headphones?
