Questions about bill_s trashy park pattern

I've been hunting a park lately that is very trashy, pull tabs galore, but I've managed to pull 3 mercs and one war nickle from it. I'd love to try the bill_s trashy park pattern while detecting this park but was concerned if the heavy discrimination in the pull tab area would cause a constant threshold null? If there is a constant threshold null, will the etrac still have the ability to detect good targets? Additionally, will the bill_s trashy park pattern produce more finds than if I continue to us the stock coin pattern?

Thank you for your inputs!

P.S. I posted this on a different thread but thought a seperate thread may produce more responses.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry

I will try to answer your questions and I'm sure others will too. I use the pattern all the time in super trashy parks. That is the reason I created it was so I wouldnt have to listen to the hundres of pull tabs and other trash targets that are in your typical park. I wouldnt say it would create a constant threshold null. The place would have to have a couple pull.tabs or iron in every square foot of ground.

Will the pattern produce more finds than the stock coin program? That all depends on how you look at it. In a real trashy park running the pattern I can just listen for the accepted tones and decide weather to dig or not when I get a hit. If you run a more open pattern then you are going to have to analyze a lot more signals which would take more time. So time wise it may produce more. I think if I were you I would load it up and see how it works. If you dont like it you can always delete it.....;o)

Thank you Bill_S for your explanation. Sounds very logical! I'll load it up and give it a try this weekend, then let you know how I did.

Bills trashy park program has proven its value to me PLENTY. Given the right place, you can't beat it. I actually used it in 2 full-day hunts last week in a really trashy park. Of course, if you are after anything other than coins, this will not be the one for you, but if you are only after missed coins in the trash, this one is it. Good luck and great job on creating it Bill!!! -Marc

Another thing to consider is mind fatigue. If you're running a more open pattern and your brain is analyzing tons of different signals you might get desensitized to the good signals after a while and miss them. I notice this sometimes when I'm in high trash or running the machine hot in manual mode with a lot of rusty iron. I can tell when I get to that point and I then switch it over to auto for a while. I have found deep coins in the past using this pattern that I had missed before so I know it works.

jmt48, maybe I wrong, but I questioned this about customised pattern I made for different houses I hit. The nulling come on allot more sure but it doesn't null when a good strong signal hits, it over rides the null. At least that's what I've noticed. I will start a post questioning my beliefs.
