Questionable sales call

There is a CXIII for sale on ebay:

Garrett MH CXIII

The story tells how a housewife is trying to sell it while hubby is away on business. But if you look at the pictures, the reflection in the face of the control shows a man taking the pictures.

Seems like a lot more than sales goes on while hubby's away.

I would guess there will be no bidding on this item. $300 is the GOING price for a set up like that on a slightly used CXII with all the extras. Some people don't understand ebay.

Yeah......Might get more by separating the larger coils from the package. I watched a Tesoro Bandido II umax sit all the way though it's listing at $225 and not sell because it was a "buy it now". The seller relisted it with no reserve starting at .99 and got $265. Go figure.

If that's the case, then there is a good chance that the detector is hot! If you are interested in it, the ask for the serial number and contact Garrett's. There's a good chance that they may have a register of stolen detectors. At worst, If the item disappears off the action, or you don't get a reply, then you can be fairly certain that it is probably stolen.
Mick Evans.
