That's normal for a manually set Ground Balance machine Mick. Mineralization will vary from one step to the next.

I dont know if you have a SAT, but upping it will help if you have one. Also when batteries get low some of the manual machines will drift in sound as well.

Dew, the battery idea is good one. I don't think the BH ID has SAT.
