Question Xchange2 sofeware

I thought I understood the Xchange 2 software. Since mine needed to update I downloaded the newer version. Now it wont work come up reading "fatal error" I called minelab which was useless. Has anyone experienced this problem? I would like to update a few of my programs in the 3030. Thanks.

Try getting a new disk from minelab, and see if that doesn't work, without a format. Try a format on a pc from 2012-2014. Clean install of windows. Delete all the bloatware. I hesitate to say this, but don't install any anti virus. Try installing the software then. I had some problems with the software at one point. I got it to work again, but, unfortunately, that machine stopped connecting to my PC. Good luck. Remember, back up anything valuable data wise, and back up your passwords and logins if you format. Once its done, there is no going back. You can probably find an old used PC from FB marketplace.
