Question:Will pro-coil go deeper than the 6x8 sef coil?

I havent had my pro- coil on but once since i bought the 6x8 sef bacause the sef is easier to pinpoint with but does it go as deep as the pro-coil?If not then who wants to sell me a large sef?

I think Pro is better for me and deeper than Sef 6x8, but its only my opinion. if somebody want to change any condition for 3hours use sef 6x8 I am hear. Stasys

I am going to venture out on a limb and say YES, overall, you would expect to achieve greater depth of detection with the Larger Pro Coil than the smaller 6"x8" SEF coil.

Check the Detector Accessory Classified Forum for anybody wishing to sell a larger SEF coil.

My pro coils both go deeper than my 8x6 sef by about 2 inches in most soil.The pro coils will also get about 1/2" more depth than the 12x10 sef in my test garden on both a silver dime and a wheat penny.On penny and dime size targets the my 15x12 sef is no deeper than my pro coils.The 12x15 is 2"-4"
deeper on large CW bullets and quarter size and larger targets.

Short answer--yes.----In my tests & where I hunt, the 11" Pro goes deeper than the 6X8 SEF.-----The X-8's I have had go a LITTLE deeper than the 6X8 SEF's I've had but the 6X8's get a LITTLE better seperation than the X-8's.---Both of my current two X-8's get within 1" of the depth of my 11" Pro coils.---My 11" Pro coils gets pratically identically the same depth as my 10 X 12 SEF.----This may be a little more info. than you wanted (or asked for). -----Bottom line (again)---the 11" Pro goes deeper than the 6X8 SEF (at least for me)----------Del

YES,but? if you are hunting heavey trashy parks the 6x8 will pick threw the noise and find more! IMO

Thats exactly what i was looking for del.Ireally dont like the pro coil or just dont get its pinpointing ability so i will look into the larger sef coil.Thanks a bunch and happy holidays
