QUESTION WHICH COIL IS THE BEST THE COINSEARCH OR THE SUNRAY 8" COIL

WHICH COIL SHOULD I KEEP THE COINSEARCH OR THE SUNRAY 8" COIL I HAVE BOTH. WHICH ONE WOULD BE THE BEST ONE TO USE WITH MY SOVEREIGN XS-2. THANK YOU

Both of these coils are my favorite coils as these do well. The 8 inch coinsearch is not waterproof while the S-8 is and the coinsearch is slightly heavier too. The 8 inch coinsearch is the best coil to learn the Sovereign with as the tones seem to be easier to hear, I fell the hot band is bigger so the tone last longer and easier to hear. Now the S-8 seems the hot band is smaller so the tones are not as long sounding which it can and will separate better and seems to see a little deeper from the test a few of us have done after you know your Sovereign well. What I have been recommending is for those new to the Sovereign is get a 8 inch coinsearch and those that know their Sovereigns well and do good to get the S-8 coil.

to add to Ricks reply I would say since you have both, which are you using more, that should tell you something and also take notice how the coinsearch will glide over grass and uneven ground easier than the sunray. I have the sunray but I wade so the coil I have needs to be waterproof.
