Question to anyone who might know......

have a question about the 1350.

I have read that the 1250 is the same as the 1350 but the only difference is that the 1350 has the profiling. Is that correct?

I also see that the 1250 is still forsale ( used ).

Besides the profiling, are there any other differences. If you don't know, perhaps Chuck knows.

Also What are the differences between the ACe250 and the 1250?

BTW I bought a copy of Garretts Treasure Hunting for Fun and Profit. I see that he used the Garrett 1000, or at least thats whats shown in the book.
That detector must be close to 15 or 20 years old. It too is still for sale used.

If the 1250 is the same as the 1350, and the profiling is the only difference, why not just saty with an old true tested machine?

One of the critizism I have picked up is that the 1350 profiling is only good for targets up to 5inches and beyond that it is unreliable. Any information on that?

The 1250/1350/1500 are all the same machine aside from profiling and imaging, just like some cars are all the same underneath. THey did stay with the old, true tested machine, they just added new features and gave it another number. It's called "Marketing," Did you check the original publishing date of the book?

Don't know where you're getting your info but I field tested the prototype and the production model of the 1350 and the profiling goes a bit deeper than that. The differences between the 1250 and 250 should be obviious. More machine, more features, more depth. Sorta like the difference between a Toyota Corolla and a Lexus.
