Question Should I hunt the S.W. Channels???

I was out today at the beach here in Jacksonville with my 18" boots on and the Sea Hunter There were these deeper waterways or channels leading to the waterline were the water funneled back to the ocean. Should I be hunting these "cuts" when I find them? They are about 10" or so deeper than the surf. The current runs swifter in these channels and these are the only "cuts' I see at the beach here in the winter time. We have not had any rough surf lately.

I hunted at low tide for about 2 hours at ankle to knee deep in the surf, but only hit 4 signals and came up with zero ! Good exercise, but no treasures except one penny. Thanks. EZ

Oh yeah man, anytime you can hunt a cut or a trough or any area of sand that is lower than surrounding sands, HUNT IT!:detecting: Of course, be careful of the riptides and such. Let us know how it goes!:wiggle: Best of luck to ya!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Be careful, those currents can be very dangerous rushing out..........were a PFD if you can..joe
