question regarding the sunray gold headphones

Was wondering if anyone on this forum actually use the sunray gold headphones? I currently use a set of phones designed for home audio. I don't like them because they are uncomfortable. I am also concerned that I might be missing some deeper targets because they are not dedicated to use with a metal detector. Does the filter on the sunray phones really work? Does using headphones with a higher ohm rating really help???

The Sun Ray Gold headphones are a great set of phones, very comfortable and blocks out the back ground noise so you can hear those faint signals better. Like many of the headphones made for detectors that have any quality at all they are made for us that spend many hours out detecting so the ear pads are made bigger so not so much pressure is put on your ears, but yet the ear muffs are soft so they are comfortable. With the new Gold ones the ear muff are even more comfortable than the others.
Were we really notice a difference is on the tone ID detectors where tones is what tells the story as we need some nice crisp sounding headphones which the Sun Ray Golds are.
Most home stereo phones don't have the comfort the Sun Ray gold have, plus not built to take the abuse we give our headphones, took me a while to spend the extra money, but glad I did as my finds have been deeper and more of them.

I don't have the Gold's but I do have the older version and LOVE them. They are money well spent and could very well pay for themselves with that first deep find. SunRay has a forum on here too for more comments on their products.

I have a pair of the Sunray Gold headphones. I got them not long after they came out. The real leather is a nice change from the vinyl commonly found on most headphones, at least to this bald guy. Very comfortable and great sound. I did some research and asked around. I tried alot of headphones on. They also work great with my MXT. I can turn up the volume without getting my head blown off if I get an overload signal or a shallow target.

My Buddy hase some on his MXT N he Likes im, I orderd a set for my MXT to, Mick Fin,
