Question re Sunray Probe for etrac

DonM

Member
I came across a couple of posts that indicate that the black Sunray probe is more desirable than the white one - why is that?...is there a performance difference between the 2 probes?

Haha! This is a joke, right?

From what I've heard, there is a size difference, not so sure about performance....

Desirable to E-trac users only because the white ones where on the white explorer (pre SE) shaft early on and the e-trac has the black shaft. For that reason alone it would match better regardless of the 1 oz.
Desirable because they are newer and probably have seen less use.

The black probe is the nwer style. As for performance, no difference. The white probe is usually a little cheaper because it is the older style.

I painted my white one black.

It works well.

I like my X-1 whitey its gonna match the Ultimate coil I got coming real well. Together, they make mine a true two tone Etrac.
Since I hunt in TTF with an open screen, it fits me well.
