I have seen a post one time about this piece causing problems. Idon't have a problem but was thinking if this comes apart so I can grease it up... so it doesn't cause one in the future. Has anyone done this.

Thanks Ronnie L

Ronnie the only problems you would have is if the wire is continually flex at that point. If you use rubber bands to hold that wire from a flex right at the connector you'll be fine. For the electrical contacts just clean with tuner cleaner and use a little dielectric grease in the ends.

What I'm really asking is can you actually undo the nut on the bottom to expose the electrical contacts ?? and grease them so they don't corrode. Thanks
for your answer.

Should be no reason to disassemble this portion, unless you have a problem as I. See post. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?21,2074453,2074453#msg-2074453
Only reason would be if your getting unsteady thresh-hold, or power spurge's. doing so may create more problems.

Yes it comes apart with a regular head screw driver.... small. But..... I wouldnt introduce a problem u dont currently have even if u think u would be preventing one in this case. Its sealed dont mess with it since its not normally a problem.
