Question on WHITES EAGLE II SL METAL DETECTOR

Coinscratcher, If you have the original operators manual and in fact it is a 90 , a notice came with the manual at time of purchase. On the manual it says it's a 90 on the cover. If it's a 90 software chances were made at the factory at the time of purchase. Find the serial # on the unit ( I don't know exactly where) and call the factory in Oregon, ask for Todd ( # is 1-541-367-6121 ) . I'm sure he can tell you anything you need to know or send you a copy of the changes, if it's a 90. Also go to Jimmy Sierra's web site he has tons of info on old White's detectors. Good Luck; Ralph

1st the 1989 and 1990 had a Black Box, But the 1990 was the only one with no mixed mode on the A B C settings,
On the A B C without the triger puled A regular tone B silent search C tone ID The 90 has the best tone ID of all the Whites Tone ID units??? I have a Eagle II SL 90 and i just Love it, I sent my V3i down the road in a trad for the Eagle II SL 90 and a XL-Pro 6000 i went old school and im Liveing better for it !!!!!!!! If you wana find Mixed Mode on a 90 set Her in Tone ID and turn off the Disc, mickfin.

Hi Mickfin, you tell em Mick, The Eagle II sl is the one of the best White ever made. I have been looking for another 1989 Eagle just to see if it is as good as the 1990, and for a backup if i need to send in my 90. I wish i had keep the 89 one i had, for some reason it seam a little better, or maybe it was so good i just though it was better. The 1990 i have is in top 7 detectors i have. If i can find a good 1989, i think i will sell all of my others.

Thanks Flintstone, Yes i started this Hobby with a 1988 Blue Box Eagle in 1988 N i Loved this Hobby ever sens,
Say Flint Dos a 1989 Eagle have Tone ID????? Mickfin

I thought I was a little eccentric for using an XL-PRO(modded of course) and an Eagle SL90.5. I can't really say that either are backup detectors because I use them both regularly.I too have had several newer detectors but chose to go back to this pair.

David Bull nothing is wrong with you LOL , I used too have a Whites V3i And i sent it down the Rd 4R thease 2 units in a trad
Whites XL-Pro and Back by Popular Demand the Eagle II SL 90 with the BIG Foot!!!!!!! Iv ben in this Great Hobby 4R 25 years and yes iv had theas 2 Detectors but let im go???? Now i have theam back again!!!!!! mickfin,
