Question on v3i password

Some time ago I ruined my v3i's instruction manual in which I wrote my password when I first bought the detector. Will I have a problem if something happens and what? Thanks for replying.

Password
If you lose your password, you can call White's and supply your serial number listed on the screen and they will give the password to you. The password is unchangeable.

The serial number on the control box is what you use to register your machine for the warranty.
